Taking up running might feel like a big step especially if you have never ran before or if you just feel out of shape or very unfit.

But taking up a sport such as running can fight off chronic diseases such as obesity and type 2 diabetes.

At AM activ we will help you start your run to fitness journey and gradually coach you to run a 5k and beyond.

We have years of experience of planning and designing exercise training programs. Our beginners run program has been carefully researched and uses current and relevant training methods to get you running within no time at all.

How does our program work?

We know the biggest test for a novice runner is not knowing how, when or where to start.  Novices are often worried about over training or getting injured. Lack of motivation and self-belief are also major factors that novices face. Our program starts with simple walking exercises and running drills which gradually build up your fitness levels. This approach will help keep you motivated at all times and avoid you picking up running related injuries.

Who will benefit from our program?

Everyone! Beginners, returners to running, children, adults, mums, dads and even your dog, (if you have one). The program can be designed for individuals on a 1-2-1 basis or for very small groups, it’s up to you.

Well for starters, it’s an easy way enhancing your physical health. Running can improve the functionality of your cardiovascular system. It can also help you keep your weight under control. There is also evidence it may increase bone density for some people. Furthermore, there are also the benefits to your psychological well-being such as helping you build self-confidence and combat stress levels. Running can be fun and enjoyable and a great way to meet new friends and hook up with old friends too.
