Massage in sport has been around for centuries. The ancient Greeks elite athletes received massage as part of their training routines before and after competition. Today Sports massage is a familiar component in the training routines of Olympic and pro athletes, as well as in health clubs and sporting events. It helps athletes prepare for and recover from competition, helps to reduce the risk of injuries and also helps an athlete to recover from an injury.

My experience/qualifications:

I have over 25 years of experience working within the sports massage industry. I hold qualifications in Holistic massage and sports massage. My professional experiences within the industry have been varied; I have worked with boxers, dancers, footballers, tennis players and tennis coaches as well as top age group athletes from many sports including running & triathlon.

Today I practice sports massage from my home & office; I also offer a mobile service too. I am a registered practitioner with The Federation of Holistic Therapists.
